A dip down into brushfires,

smoke in my hair, but the flames will never burn me.

A skim across frozen waters,

cold to the touch, but the frost will never bite me.

I am of the moon and stars.

A woman of light, of mire and might.

Boundless and free,

you can never break me.

I dance in the rings of Saturn,

play in the sands of Venus.

And this folly between us

means nothing in the end.

A rise up into stormclouds,

lightning in my veins, but the charge will never char me.

A flight straight into your backyard,

your eyes on me black and hard, but it will all fade.

We are of the moon and stars.

Women made of light,

letting go.

Boundless and free,

letting go.

We dance in the rings of Saturn,

play in the sands of Venus.

And this folly between us

is nothing.
